808910 2009-09-11 06:44:00 TVNZ on demand. What can I use to download onto computer a movie from TVNZ on demand (11 hour) which i like to watch. i want to download this episode to computer and burn to dvd to watch on my own tv. i missed last episode. kountryken (14110)

808914 2009-09-11 22:35:00 Yes I already have orbit which is great but can't download the video From TVNZ On demand. I can though download the advertising video's on the TVNZ On demand BUT not the actual movies kountryken (14110)
808915 2009-09-11 22:38:00 A lot of the non-NZ content is protected using eRTSP which means you can't easily download it.

You may be able to find a tool that will let you download "encrypted RTSP" streams if you look hard enough.

808916 2009-09-11 22:45:00 You can download TVNZOndemand streams in RealPlayer, using the Recording Manager, the only hassle being that you have to download every part to it separately. Worth the time though, I've managed to Archive Country Calendar and Intrepid Journeys.

Oh the wonders of having an old pc to turn into a MCE.. I used Rssreader to get the latest updates and the play straight in MCE. Great Fun.

Really? I think you'll find that the NZ shows aren't protected, whilst the overseas ones are.

Yeah, that's true. I haven't tried downloading an overseas show, but I will, I bought RealPlayer Plus, and it lets me burn them all to DVD-Videos, well worth it.

I'll try one of the Big Bang Theory episodes tonight, always thought that was quite funny :lol::lol:
