Just keep in mind, that playing about with a BIOS esp if you have no idea what you are doing can be dangerous, do it wrong, or the wrong BIOS and you have basically killed the board. Sure people here try to help, but remember we cant see what you can.


With ECS Boards of that age, they are VERY prone to failing, in fact to have one that old is actually lucky. Most will fail long before that.

Also keep in mind, that playing about with faulty power Supplies often will do more damage, if it fails completely, or some internal part fails, you can put 240Volts through 12 & 5 Volt components -- Meaning instant POOF - every thing fried. (seen it happen several times).

888071 2010-05-28 10:01:00 my science teacher, who saids he knows lots about computers and that macs are better suggeseted i get a Coolermaster or something power supply. he said they were good. anyways he said that i should just get a new pc and ditch this one. thats what im doing slowly. im gonna replace parts one by one

You sure he's not your English teacher? Would explain a lot :clap
