| 888599 | 2010-05-27 07:14:00 | Evening all. Booted windows the other day and was warned by AV (MSE) that a virus was detected on my PC. Ran full scan, virus vaulted a few items, and I restarted. When I went to use firefox, I started getting redirected to incorrect links when I opened links in a new tab. So disconnected form my network, uninstalled MSE and installed Avast. It picked up several other things after a full scan. Now everything seems ok. However on boot I get this message: Attached file: Capture1274940674.png (www.imagef1.net.nz) (23 KB) The file mentioned is in Avast's vault. I am guessing that there is still some sort of startup command left over trying to launch it. I have also run a HJT scan. If anyone has time to look over it, it would be very much appreciated. | 888600 | 2010-05-27 07:23:00 | You can tick these, then tick fix checked Close browsers O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exe" This will be the prob. Looks like it belongs to trojan fakealert O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Canaveral] rundll32.exe C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\sshnas21.dll,Bac kupReadW O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [M5T8QL3YW3] C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Local\Temp\Rg1.exe Use ccleaner so it'll delete the temp files Use something like malwarebytes, update it then do a full scan |
