1105233 2010-05-31 01:44:00 Windows 7 uses new authentication method, you will need to edit the registry....

Add the dword in the hive shown...reboot and good to go

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Lsa]

"LmCompatibilityLevel"=dword:00000001

1105234 2010-06-02 23:59:00 Thanks to SolMieste for the info on the Registry.
The pro gramme will not accept the pass word.
Checking to make sure I have installed properly.
This what wound up on the hive:

Name Type Data
"LmCompatabilityLevel"=dword REG_MULTUI_SZ 00000001

If this is correct, any other ideas!

1105235 2010-06-03 04:59:00 Hi, no you have created a new multi string value, NOT a dword value. SolMiester (139)
1105236 2010-06-03 22:38:00 Hi SolMieste
Checking to make sure I have the right string.
LmCompatabilityLevel REG_DWORD 0x00000001(1)
If this is correct then I'm still not getting through.
