888857 2010-05-28 09:56:00 Hi Team

I have found a site with several technical calculators and I use them regularly. Rather than go on line each time to use them (and risk finding the site closed at some time in the future) is it possible to download the relevant pages?

Cheers

888858 2010-05-28 10:08:00 Have you tried doing this:

File > Save As & that should save the web page to your computer.

Hope this helps :)

888859 2010-05-28 10:11:00 What about the program Sweep suggested when you first asked this question (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz)? Jen (38)

You can get an offline copy but then you also should not try to download a whole site like MS New Zealand for example.

888861 2010-05-28 12:11:00 what about saving as an archive? Or make available offline? nedkelly (9059)

Billy 8-{)Depends on the site - you can always download the output of such a web-based tool, but you can only download the tool itself if it's javascript-based, or is a java applet. Trying to download a server-side tool won't work, as you'll simply get the tool's interface and output instead, rather than the tool itself.

888864 2010-05-29 06:47:00 Try looking at the source code, which may have details/names commented in the codes. Then search online for contact, or contact the site's owners/web masters for specifics.

Could you post a link to this calculator site?

1: This is one site (www.midnightscience.com) and 2: This is the other (www.kusashi.com) either one would be good, but both would be better! :D

The first one appears to be JS based, so you should be able to just save the webpage using your favourite web browser and the calculators should still work.

The second one looks like it's server-side so you won't be able to "save" that to use offline unfortunately.
