| 810894 | 2009-09-16 19:43:00 | I was wondering which motherboard brands are top quality these days I havent followed them in awhile I had a Gigabyte MB last me from 7 years with no problems. I recently just bought a Gigabyte again simply coz the other one lasted me so long but are they still top notch ? Just wondering what others think on MB manufactures and what their top favourites are and if they have had repetitive issues with them |

Friday, July 03, 2009: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd is the top ranked motherboard company in the '2009 Info Tech 100 Taiwan' list from Business Next in Taiwan. ASUS has become one of the top leading computer motherboard manufacturers. They have received several awards over the years. Their estimation is that one out of every three computers contained one their motherboards. A few awards that ASUS boast of are listings in Business Weeks "Info Tech 100", and being listed as #1 by the Wall Street Journal for quality products and services. |

Among other things, Foxconn produces the Mac mini, the iPod and the iPhone for Apple Inc.; Intel-branded motherboards for Intel Corp.; various orders for American computer manufacturers Dell and Hewlett-Packard; the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 for Sony; the Wii for Nintendo;the Xbox 360 for Microsoft, cell phones for Motorola, the Amazon Kindle, and Cisco equipment |

| 810899 | 2009-09-16 23:00:00 | Foxconn are rubbish. Asus and Gigabyte are the only brands I use. The amount a company manufacturers has nothing to do with the quality of the parts. Some of Gigabyte's new boards are very nice, they've got an extra thick PCB. :p | wratterus (105) | ||
| 810900 | 2009-09-16 23:32:00 | Foxconn and ECS are regarded as the el-cheapo ones to avoid (bad quality capacitors) Personally I like MSI, not so much a fan of Gigabyte or ASUS (I do like my Gigabyte video card though) I always think that ASUS had much more reliable boards 10 years ago than they do now Abit are good too, they use only Rubycon capacitors after they sold boards with leaky ones back in the days of the capacitor plague (which if you buy something like an ECS still happens!) Abit were the only company to actually admit their mistake and one of the few to offer free repairs of motherboards with affected capacitors. |

| 810903 | 2009-09-17 02:26:00 | Foxconn are rubbish . Asus and Gigabyte are the only brands I use . Yes . I agree . Quantity has nothing to do with it . It's quality . Hence the awards . |
