889046 2010-05-29 00:14:00 The Service pack is actually available Via windows updates, done it twice yesterday on two different installs of office 2007, H&S. Doing another one later today - I'll see if I can get the screen shots ( if I remember) ;)

When you install Office you are given the option to include any updates, if you dont tell it to look, then windows updates wont show it.

889047 2010-05-29 00:16:00 Altho, I probably didnt wait long enough to see if SP2 was there. Since I've got the install file Speedy Gonzales (78)
889048 2010-05-29 00:25:00 I'm using Office 2007 SP2 and have the update file for Office.

Possibly why terabytes are used as some people run same rather than downloading and saving.

Then some people save then forget where it went. Some people download and then forget to install.

889049 2010-05-29 00:40:00 I got SP1 via Windows Updates last week. It's just not there for SP2. Nomad (952)
889050 2010-05-29 00:55:00 Just checked via Control Panel - took me a while to find the button to see what software/updates I have.

I do have SP2 installed. Maybe it was my error or maybe WU said SP1

889051 2010-05-29 01:14:00 SP this and SP that.

Can I now assume you are running Office 2007 with SP2?

The O/S is Win7 with all critical updates but what about Win 7 recommended updates?

Have you made a new rule in Outlook?

My O/S is Win 7 64 bit. Do you have Win 7 32 bit?

889052 2010-05-29 01:29:00 Office 2007 has SP2.
The only updates showing now are "optional" and "1" important that I am doing now - Windows Defender Update.

Yes, I made a rule in Outlook. Could be the email that I received. Doesn't work. Cannot forward. It hangs. Thou, the previous emails I received from the same address works.

Yes Windows 7 64-bit.
Still getting the odd windows issue now and then - not every day.

889053 2010-05-29 01:37:00 Why Windows Defender update?

Are you using this?

889054 2010-05-29 01:38:00 Just installing the optionals now. One of the windows optional updates did say about shutdown problems. Well, they said it was optional  Nomad (952)

Dunno what it is to be honest. I just installed it cos it was under the "important" category.
