You can find it from the drop-downs in Google Labs, where there are a lot of neat-o devices and engines to assist youse guys with your missed solar eclipses and pending slide into the sea. It's not a keyword search engine that gives you a bunch of links to click, but it gathers some (almost!) AI capacity to wade into the material and reading that you want to do. The Google Search is very deep and I doubt that you can run through all the articles in each search - but believe me that it is worth trying it out!!! WOW! is all I can say!!! M$ is trying one out too - still in ßeta, called Visually Assisted Search for Certain Types of Content or "Visual Search" for short. Based on Silverlight it uses a "categorical search" that takes vague ideas and questions from you - like: "I saw a dog in the park that had a short nose and a bushy tail; what type of dog was it?" or "Who was the actor with the mustache in the 007 movie 'Thunderball'?" Visual Search can even supply a word that is on the tip of your tongue and you cannot find it, it will suggest a pretty good guess what you want to use! Both of these engines use images, not text - for your answers to your questions. You can set up categories, frequently-asked parameters or most arcane and offensive ('ya listening Metla?) and get returns that you can drill down through or "flip" to a different level for your searching enjoyment. This looks like a really great way to stay attuned to the world and all facets thereof. Both of these new engines are still rather experimental, and like a small child needs to get some "hits" - a lot of hits - to train 'em how to work and run most efficiently. It is asked that you at least try to use either or both of them a while and help in the World-Wide-Web training of these new children of the Ethernet. |

I see Bing has image search/display, and that version 2 should be out soon. Note too that Google has increased it's search engine bar, and it's font in the drop down suggestions. |
