812593 2009-09-22 01:18:00 . . . . . and you like living with that Joe?

'tis better than dying with it .

I'm changing venue by the 1st of October to Anza where there are trees, but they are the required to be 40 feet apart for fire control .

IF I survive the week here in Hemet for a while yet and travel isn't blocked by falling trees and embers and such - I WILL get moved!

I'll be two, short (6,000 foot) mountain ranges from here with deep valleys in between and houses and lots of stuff to burn before it gets to me!

I will get a lot of time and sufficient warning to get out if I have to .

812595 2009-09-22 04:05:00 Give those firefighters some Vegemite, and watch 'em go.

(Like Popeye with spinach, but getting more from less.)

812596 2009-09-22 16:33:00 What with duties and import fees, not to mention postage, spinach is a lot cheaper and an indigenous crop too.

Arr, Arr! Too late for the "Talk Like A Pirate Day" celebration though.

Why not run a pipe from Georgia? Plenty of unwanted water there at the moment I hear.

Getting a pipeline over the Continental Divide would be a very big job .

It would be cheaper to get water from Peru I think . It's all downhill from there .

812599 2009-09-22 23:54:00 Today's temps = 115.7ºF / 46.444ºC, but no Santanas yet as the winds are still out of the North, and need to be from the East to get the heat up to where it needs to be. SurferJoe46 (51)
812600 2009-09-23 01:04:00 Just at the moment we are a little over-endowed with water, so if you care to fax down a large bucket - - - R2x1 (4628)
