| 812450 | 2009-09-21 09:45:00 | I know Auckland is overdue, if they can be bothered waking up. That reminds me... bought the August National Geographic, because it had an article about Yellowstone park... Scary. |

| 812451 | 2009-09-21 09:49:00 | Yeah Auckland may well be due Rangitoto only blew up 600 yrs ago. When events are out to 50,000 years frequency and overdue and our lifespan is 3 score and ten worrying about it might be a waste of time. |

Forgot I had a six pack of Cooper Vintage 2002 that I had the wife hide. Man, they were good. |

| 812454 | 2009-09-21 13:10:00 | Personally I'd be more worried about Lake Taupo going pop (en.wikipedia.org), that would be goodbye to the North Island. The explosive force of this eruption would be greater than the combined power of all the nuclear weapons ever created by man. |

| 812455 | 2009-09-21 14:01:00 | Well Taupo was a pretty flash sort of an affair, but what have they done since then? A bit of fizzing at the North and South ends, but no real drama these days. Bit of a let down for those of us who bought tickets for big Bang II. They did it better in the old days. |

(Or Number 50 popping up!!). From where I am in south Auckland I can see 5 - 6 of Auckland’s 49 volcanos!!. |
