The fact is they were bought into the world by colonisation and a are far better off for it, many powerful people at the time embraced it, Felt it was needed for their people. And still a small amount squander every opportunity this has given them, refusing to better themselves as people no matter how many billions of dollars are spent on their plight, while another minoirity use this failed class of people to futher their poliyical carreers and/or to make themselves rich. I Agree with the above. I am English born. Have you any idea of the triabal & intercountry warfare, (Vikings, Franks, Saxons & all the rest) that went on over centuries there? I would suggest that it wasn't till the Romans invaded, (Euroeans into NZ) that things started to improve. Yes thare have been & still are "bumps in the road) It is not a perfect place, altho thousanda of immigrants, legal & illegal think so. In the main civilization evolved over time. The same thing should be happening here, but, there are those who would live in the past but take all todays benefits. To me it is mostly greed. The people at the bottom of the Maori food chain, & I mean that nicely, do not see any of the reparation moneys. Have you noticed the quality of the clothes that the people runnung these trusts wear? Do they go to the Sally Army for food parcels? You may say that I am White & Biased. Maybe so, but given the chance I believe anybody would love to be able to better their way of life. What it takes, tho, is the big word. WANT. PJ |

If so I bet it was in a world far away from where we now live. |
