2009-09-20 07:12:00 | It sounds like another revenue grab by the police. What's perfectly legal now will be illegal. That's going to help drop the drunk driving rates ...how?? Those tanked up well over the limit are the ones that course the problems not the one on the current legal limit.. | paulw (1826) | |
2009-09-20 09:00:00 | The first related graph to appear in the road code aeons ago showed that people on average were better after a small amount of alcohol than with none. That graph disappeared pretty quickly. Does the fact that legally sober people cause around 60% of the fatalities mean that sober drivers should be disqualified for twice as long as sober ones? When enthusiasts of any persuasion start hurling statistics around, it pays to have a few grains of salt handy.

2009-09-20 21:17:00 | numbnuts tests with reporters where they drink and then drive on a supervised race track or driving simulator. They then pretend they cant drive properly and crash its just pathetic. . And of course you always drive extremely well, especially when you have been drinking.

2009-09-20 21:31:00 | thats good thay they are clamping down on drink driving - but its getting a little silly now - why not chase the sober retards that cant drive in the first place? start in invercargill - the place seems to breed people that cant give way or are completley colourblind :waughh:

2009-09-20 21:32:00 | +1 for Rob_on_guitars thoughts... My cousin arrived at our Christmas do last year, pissed off his rocker. In no fit state to drive anything... Man it caused a row when somebody suggested he should be locked up for that! However lets be honest, he shouldn't be driving as he can't make heads or tails of any situation, it's illegal, dangerous, and ultimately he could easily claim somebody elses life. THAT is just not right. However when all is said and done, some people just shouldn't be allowed to drive, ever... Interesting thought: The suicide rate in NZ is apparently higher than the road-toll annually. Why do we see less on the media about depression / suicide than we do about drink-driving?

Or they can wait til another person dies blah blah blah man Im turning into such a nanna these days. X2 |
