1106485 2010-06-04 00:12:00 87 minutes expected wait time at the moment ...

DSL has physical connection, just not authenticating. Happening for two customers I support.

Anybody else got issues?

There's a message saying "We are experiencing an incredibly high volume of calls at present ..."
DAMN RIGHT THEY ARE!

Yet their website shows nothing wrong:
networkstatus.telstraclear.co.nz

Surely it's not just me?

1106486 2010-06-04 00:14:00 My parents are with clear and they are still on MSN and skype...so one would assume it's still working down here. wratterus (105)

1106489 2010-06-04 09:06:00 Working fine here in wgtn as well.

Mind you the wait on the phone is bloody awful :angry

Tried calling them yesterday morning (same message), gave up after 45 minutes on hold.

The customer called them back last night around 6.30 - (I had told him what to say to them -Polite version) :D - he phoned me back today, said he was on hold for just over an hour.

Turns out both customers had two separate issues, once was an unpaid bill, one was the router losing password and they'd written the wrong one down.

I spent over 55 mins on hold the first time, not a happy chappy I tell you...

1106491 2010-06-05 00:34:00 ... I wonder how many other calls were tied up with the same sort of problems your customers had?

Maybe they should have two options. Press one if you haven't paid your bill or wrote down your password wrong, press two if you have a real problem.

Or maybe not lol

1106492 2010-06-06 00:38:00 Hi Disconnect the power to DSL and reconnect a min later. A usual automated advice they give. Did you do that. It works. namboothiri (14469)

Multiple times.

Unfortunately I'd whittled down the issue to being a problem "at their end" (At least not a problem at my end) both times.

It's the worst when you get on the phone and they *expect* you to go over and do that again, at least the Telstraclear people were smart enough to say "Oh yes, we've seen your routers gone offline twice in the last two hours and tried to come back up..." and didn't make me do it again.
