812113 2009-09-20 04:45:00 I want to get a second laptop adapter for my Sony Vaio, and when I last looked Sony NZ weren't selling them, and the RRP was something like $220.

I've looked around, and there is something similar on TradeMe - a UK adapter (can fix that with a plug converter), but I'm not sure if the specs are right. My adapter has "Output 19.5V ~ 4.7A, and the model number is VGP-AC19V36. The adapter for sale has the same output and input specs, but the model number is VGP-AC19V24. Will this be sufficiently different to not work (or worse, break the laptop)?

Laptop Battery has this (www.laptopbattery.co.nz) but the model number is different again - VGP-AC19V10 - though the input/output figures are the same. What does the difference in the model number mean?

Cheers

812115 2009-09-20 05:29:00 I tell a lie - the one for sale on Trademe has 1.3A input, whereas the one I have has 1.5A input. Will this make a difference?
