1107676 2010-06-07 08:32:00 Well, if there are 64 bit drivers for whatever you've got, go for 64 bit. Win7 still has bugs. It's not completely bug-free Speedy Gonzales (78)
1107677 2010-06-07 08:46:00 For the power user? 64 bit. Blam (54)
1107678 2010-06-07 08:50:00 what is exact diff between win7=32-64bit Aniketwww (15765)
1107679 2010-06-07 09:22:00 The amount of ram it can use, would be one of the main diffs. And you cant install 32 bit drivers in 64 bit. This applies to other versions of windows, and probably Linux Speedy Gonzales (78)
1107680 2010-06-07 11:07:00 just make sure that all the programs that you use are supported by 64bit OS. if you have any important software that doesnt work with 64bit OS than you are better of getting the 32bit OS. ronyville (10611)
1107681 2010-06-07 19:45:00 Most 32bit software will work in 64bit but not all, But no 32bit drivers will work in 64bit so.

If you have printers and stuff you want to carry over make sure there are 64bit drivers for them first same with your motherboard drivers etc.

32bit can theoretically only see and use between 3-3.75GB RAM whereas 64bit can use pretty much as much as you chuck in even 16GB or more if your motherboard can take it

1107684 2010-06-12 10:54:00 i hv one Question--- 64bit os will deliver better Game graphics than 32bit??? how much better

Eh?....same....Graphic card memory is included in the 4GB memory limitation of all x86 (32bit) o/s's, therefore with modern graphic cards having over 1Gb of memory you can be limited with o/s and application memory left, therefore, many OEM builders are selling their PC's with x64 64bit o/s regardless....
