| 1107627 | 2010-06-07 05:48:00 | Trying to figure my son's network setup . He has a cable modem (SB5101) connected via ethernet to the WAN port of a DIR300 wireless router . The main PC is connected by cable to a DIR300 port and the laptop is connected via the wireless interface . The DIR300 is supplying addresses in the range 192 . 168 . 0 . 100 etc . DNS is to itself (192 . 168 . 0 . 1) . Both computers are on the Internet but can't see each other . If I set the DIR300 as an AP it looks like I will have to allocate IP addresses and DNS servers myself? This is further complicated by the need to connect a PS3 to the network! Is there some nice solution to my (seeming) dilemma? |
