| 1107603 | 2010-06-07 04:55:00 | Does anyone know if you could install xp on one of them. they come with CE and from what i've heard it's crap and is more commonly found on PDA's. They have no CD drive so I guess bootable USB is the only way. I'm guessing it's possible but just double checking before I buy one. Specs: 128mb RAM 8gb HD 3x USB 2.0 Ethernet WIFI 300mhz Processor Windows CE 6.0 7" Screen ------------------- Total: $98 Here if you don't know what I'm talking about (www.trademe.co.nz) |

| 1107606 | 2010-06-07 05:09:00 | No because Windows doesn't run on ARM processors, only x86. | trinsic (6945) | ||

| 1107612 | 2010-06-07 05:46:00 | Some of those cheap netbooks do have x86 CPUs but not the real cheap ones. However the cheap ones should be able to run some kind of Linux if you don't like Windows CE - but it will be very slow. Buy a second hand EeePC, it will be a bit more expensive but much faster and much better quality... |
