| 1107523 | 2010-06-07 00:28:00 | Hi all I have numerous music DVD's, both concert and video. What I want to do is rip the DVD's to my hard drive so that I can eventually have each song saved as a separate video file. S for example if the DVD has twenty videos from a particular band then I want to have twenty individual video files stored on my hard drive so I can pick and choose what to play. From what I have read I would need to rip the entire DVD to avi or similar first then edit that avi file to split it into separate video files. The problem is all the research I have done seem to push certain pieces of pay software with reviews done by the distributors of the software. Has anybody got experience with the best combination of software/technique to provide the best quality results? I would be interested to hear anyone's opinion that has done this. Thanks. |

So long as the songs are stored as separate files on the DVD, you can just copy 'em to your HDD, then either play them as-is with something like VLC, or convert them to a more common format using Handbrake, or VLC (I'd stick to handbrake if I was you though). | ubergeek85 (131) | ||
