| 814218 | 2009-09-26 23:31:00 | Anybody else tried this? I bought it a while ago and was amused to find it will not even stick two pieces of paper together. Utterly and completely useless. Its a free slowing liquid. Now I wonder if the same thing has happened to me as occurred about 45 years ago when I bought a tube of Bostik glue. Then I found to my surprise (Bostik had a good reputation) that it was useless. In that case I ended up with a replacement and a nice message from Bostik. It was part of a consignment where somebody had neglected to add one of the ingredients. It was no good of course. |

| 814224 | 2009-09-27 03:50:00 | I use 'O' ring material to test el cheapo super glues. Loctite were the first to introduce such in the 1960s, together with O ring cord. Just a tiny drop between the ends of freshly cut rubber, bring the ends together carefully.....bingo instant adhesion with a bond stronger than the rubber..it was Loctite 404. Much of the cheap stuff just breaks at the joint. |
