813811 2009-09-25 09:49:00 Sometime next month I'm heading down to Wellington on a trip to Te Papa.

What is there to see and do there?
Anything that I should have a look at while I'm there?

Best I can confirm is you letting me know the day before hand, and I can buy you a beer at the Macs brewery nearby.

813818 2009-09-26 04:12:00 Talk about a dead-loss bunch...

All you Wellingtonians with nothing to recommend in your city's museum.
(Well, everybody's museum, seeing that we all pay for it in our taxes)

So is it only visitors like me who found heaps to enjoy & learn? I've been 3 times & no doubt would still find something new & interesting.

This is carrying modesty too far.

Not true.

The maritime museum about 10mins walk ( 90secs in a southerly) from Te Boring is damn interesting, even for those with little interest in things watery.

For one, it actually feels like a museum and not a funpark.
