814089 2009-09-30 12:29:00 Reminds of how some people forget driving is a privilege. They dont 'own' roads, we all pay for them. Ive sworn at complete cyclists acting like complete retards, but sworn at alot more drivers who shouldnt even be on the road. rob_on_guitar (4196)
814090 2009-09-30 20:32:00 I would be happy to pay a levy so long as the moron car drivers could get themselves and their cars crushed every time they drive or park in a cycle lane gary67 (56)

At least 2 speeding tickets and now running a stop sign.
If ever a person needs a bit of jail time to reflect on her driver ability she is it.
That guy who is putting her arm around her thats not very nice comforting someone who has committed a crime.

814094 2009-10-03 23:33:00 Jeez mate... that is almost the most dumb comment I've ever read. There's no such thing as driving too slow.

The worst is that the police will do is take the driver off the road if they suspect the driver is incapable of driving at regular road speeds.
Oh yes there is and you can be fined if you are disrupting traffic by driving too slowly.

My feelings are for these cyclists as it obviously wasn't there fault but just the other day I saw a cyclist run a red light and see very few actually stop at a stop sign. A lot of car drivers don't give them enough room when passing but I see a lot that aren't keeping as far left as practicable and it is usually a group out on a training ride..

814095 2009-10-03 23:38:00 If I see as many as 60% of cyclists obeying traffic lights, stop and give way signs on one day it could well be a record high compliance day.
Probably more chance of winning lotto unfortunately.

60% compliance in West Auckland of cyclists obeying traffic laws would be in ga ga land.
The difference is other than bowling over some old lady pedestrian they dont cause other people grief when then get smashed up other than scraping a bit of paint.

814098 2009-10-04 04:40:00 Driving down the road to the beach yesterday we came up behind two cyclists riding side by side. The one on the outside was right in the middle of our side of the narrow road, even when coming up to an island. It was only when the horn was used that he moved out of the way so that we could pass.

A lot of cyclists really ask for it sometimes.
