2010-06-07 22:22:00 | Any (Free?) applications out there that will allow you to trim the .tivo files that you've copied across? The problem with using the default software to convert it for a portable first is the quality is horrible. Basically I'd just like the ability to trim off the start / end of a few things... Thanks Chill.

2010-06-07 23:02:00 | I don't know much about them CS but from what I can glean from the net they are MPEG2 in a special wrapper. this I found...don't know if it'll help but looks good for cross platform use as it's a java application code.google.com

2010-06-07 23:41:00 | You are probably correct...as I said I don't know much about them and very little on the net! Sorry if I wasted your time.:o

2010-06-08 05:23:00 | Are you still on a mac? Roxio's mac2tivo or their player will edit, I think. Not sure if its compatible with nz tivo | plod (107) | |

2010-06-10 10:44:00 | So, Toast 10 lets me convert it, and I'm supposed to be able to trim it but I've not worked out how so I will hit the Google machine shortly and see if I can find a quick How-To. Did a convert though and the quality / resolution was infinitely better than the normal TiVo-provided app!

Toast is great, surprising for roxio software |
