1108819 2010-06-10 10:32:00 Hey all

Just had this crazy / brilliant idea while I was napping just now. I am wondering is it possible to instruct Vodafone's Free2Txt to send the desired recipient a short preview of a new message when it has arrived at a particular GMail inbox?

Perhaps something like a macro which copies the first few lines of a new message, then logs in to My Vodafone and fills out the recipient's phone number and pastes the first 108 characters of the message into the form and sends it off when done?

Cheers :)

1108820 2010-06-10 10:41:00 easier way to do it, get a vodafone mail account, get gmail to forward copies of new messages to it, and when ever you get an email vodafone sends you a txt nedkelly (9059)

1108822 2010-06-10 10:46:00 doubt it ... the free thing i think is if you log into your voda account and send it thru the web after clicking the free2txt link.

unless it has changed the email preview via text works with vodas email as well as a few others incl clear net which I used in the past myself, i think at the time each text cost the customer to receive.

1108824 2010-06-10 19:07:00 Every Vodafone Mail account comes with:

15MB of Storage (that is, your inbox can hold this much data)

Optional notification of email to your mobile device (normal TXTing charges apply)

From Vodafone Help & Support.

1108826 2010-06-10 20:45:00 Will call up Vodafone this morning to clarify this. I turned on the TXT notification feature and sent out two sample messages to my Vodafone Mail, but my account balance remains the same as before. Renmoo (66)
