| 1108706 | 2010-06-10 10:01:00 | Unfortunately saying random sites doesn't mean a lot, Please give some examples of sites that will and sites that wont load. (tested the one you linked and it opens fine) A few things: And I have not malwareYou know this HOW ? Malware can cause the exact problems you are experiencing. What OS are you using ? What Security software ? Who is your ISP ? and, as I mentioned earlier, NZ ISP's that supply ADSL use PPPoA not PPPoE (which you say you have) -- So your internet if it is working is a wonder at all. The basic settings are: Username: Depends on the ISP to configuration Password: Depends on the ISP to configuration Connection type: PPPoA VC-Mux VPI: 0 VCI: 100 Edited: See if This site (www.eset.com/) or This site (http:) will load on the PC giving problems please. ( dont need to download anything, just see if they load) -PS perfectly safe ( well some will say the second one isn't) |

| 1108707 | 2010-06-11 05:01:00 | It's not blocking antivirus sites and I don't see why a virus would block seemingly random sites. I've done virus/spyware scans and I have Gdata Internet Security. My connection IS PPPoE, it's the internet connection at the Uni Halls done by snap Windows 7. Anyhow I think I fixed it last night by rebuilding tcp/ip stacks. |
