1108612 2010-06-10 00:37:00 Hey guys,

Instead of playing my XBOX 360 on my parents HD TV, I've decided to play it on a LCD Monitor. The reason being that I don't want to move my XBOX everywhere since theres no room to keep it in my parents room permanently.

I have a USB TV Tuner (which I bought last year) which is similar to this one:

Is it possible to set up my USB TV Tuner on the XBOX 360 to watch Freeview since the XBOX has Windows Media Center?

Cheers

1108613 2010-06-10 00:41:00 You can if youre using Windows 7 (thats if MC can find the tuner / and scans and finds channels). I've done it with the Xbox here. Watched freeview through the TV

Install the tuner / the drivers, run media center add the TV / let it search for the tuner, (if it finds the tuner, it'll scan / add the channels). Then, its all go. But, you cant if you're NOT using an OEM version of Vista ( so I found out). It installs the wrong version of Playready I think its called. And cant find any channels. If it does work, you have to add an extender (using Windows MC, then give the Xbox access) then put the code (that Windows MC gives you) on the Xbox (under Media center), so both can communicate with each other
