| 815544 | 2009-11-13 18:06:00 | That there isn't more people using it :D There's that, although I have enough to be useful now - I have something like 35 contacts. It's just a matter of time... |

| 815546 | 2009-11-14 01:50:00 | Is there any chance you could flick me through a couple to my address? I'd be keen to get both my parents on to it, plus my other boss ... ? :D | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||

I'd be keen to get both my parents on to it, plus my other boss ... ? :DIt won't let me do that, because I've already invited you :p. I can invite them directly though, if you let me know their addresses. | Erayd (23) | ||

I'd be keen to get both my parents on to it, plus my other boss ... ? :D Your parents must be computer experts if you expect them to to be able to use and understand Google Wave. Why use such a complicated, confusing method of communication when there are easier ways to do it. I can't see this going anywhere or being any use to the average user. This sums it up quite well I though. Google Wave crashes on beach of overhype scobleizer.com |

| 815551 | 2009-11-14 07:27:00 | Your parents must be computer experts if you expect them to to be able to use and understand Google Wave. Why use such a complicated, confusing method of communication when there are easier ways to do it. I don't see what's so confusing about it? Space bar reads through the unread wavelets (messages) in a wave. Shift + Enter to start a new reply at the end and to finish a reply. Ctrl + Enter to start an in-line response to the currently selected message. The edit button from the drop-down arrow is obvious yet unobtrusive. Real-time responses / editing / collaboration is absolutely brilliant! Especially for small businesses it's amazing. We had a Converged Services meeting between several businesses doing some construction work on a particular building, Fire, Electrical, Data Cabling etc, and all the businesses had to send a rep, had to meet up, wait for the late people who couldn't find a park ... If they all had a Wave account, it'd be *so* much easier to communicate through! It'd be all documented so a follow-up would be easier (Meeting minutes anybody?), not to mention those who are late to the meeting can just hit the Playback button to be brought up to speed. If you're using certain browsers, the speed is less than desirable, bearing in mind it *is* still a beta and unfinished product. That said with Chrome I've found the speeds to be absolutely brilliant and I'm happy as with it :) |
