| 815087 | 2009-10-03 03:22:00 | I see when you install it that it goes thru the crappy WGA test before installing.. | paulw (1826) | ||
| 815088 | 2009-10-03 04:54:00 | Yup sure does. Altho, like anything else made by MS, that can be fixed | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 815089 | 2009-10-03 09:53:00 | Yeah, though WGA has never been *reliable* ;-) That said, I've noticed an improvement, over all of McAfee, AVG & Avast machines. It's good to be covered for Spyware, Trojans & Viruses all-in-one :D |

| 815093 | 2009-10-04 04:17:00 | Some people are a little weird. I had a phone call yesterday from a woman who ( just last week ) bought a copy of WinXP Home as the person that came before me had installed a pirated copy of WinXP Pro and she was getting messages about WGA etc. So just recently got back home after saving all data and a reformat and reinstall all applications. I have no idea why she did not buy a legal copy of Pro in which case I could have just changed the key I think. She did have Avast but I decided to use MSE instead as I have seen reasonable reviews. If you do the right thing then you download the latest defs which BTW is a 30 Meg download in case anyone needs to know the file size. I may add that heaps of people are trying to download the same as I say this. I'm just one more as I'm doing it as I type on my dual boot system. |
