1108973 2010-06-11 09:53:00 I use hard drive docks for external storage, I think you can get them for as low as $30 now USB 2, and if you need extra storage you can just buy another cheap hard drive, I have one that is eSATA but find it to be a bit annoying (having to redect hardware everytime I switch drives is a pain), hopefully soon someone will release a USB 3 dock, I'm quite keen to get one as my new mobo has USB 3. 1108974 2010-06-11 09:54:00 What do you know, Nexstar has a USB 3 hard drive dock, they are available at Playtech by the looks, looks like I'm going there this weekend! Deimos (5715)
1108975 2010-06-11 12:24:00 Thanks Nomad, I understand now. I do have two hard drives in my PC, a 1TB and a 500GB.
The 1TB hdd has both my windows XP professional and all my programs while my 2nd harddrive one is used for my children's games, videos, movies, etc.

It looks like I may need a third haddrive, an external 1.5TB as a permanent one to back up everything from my 1TB and some of the kids stuff from the 2nd hard drive. Thanks again.

Thank you also to the others for their suggested purchases. Much appreciated.
