1108115 2010-06-08 09:58:00 Have you tried this one:
http://convert.neevia.com/

I just tried it on a very old version of MSPublisher with no luck. A newer version may work?

1108116 2010-06-08 10:08:00 Just reading what one person did (bit of mucking about though) ---- Download Adobe pagemaker (www.adobe.com) - its compatible with Windows and MAC. ( two versions, MAC & Win) Apparently it can also import Microsoft Publisher files. Download and install on the Windows PC - import Publisher file.

Once imported, save as pagemaker format.

Then transfer the new file to the MAC and this will open in pagemaker on the MAC, for editing etc.

1108121 2010-06-08 10:28:00 I know this isn't a MAC forum but for those of you out there that have them can MS publisher files be imported into MAC's?

As have a friend in OZ who is writing memoirs and the files are in publisher for some reason. Anyway comp crashed and her son convinced her to buy the MAC (he needs slapping but my arms don't reach to OZ)

Short answer is no. Probably the quickest way would be to export the publisher file out as a PDF (I presume publisher can do it). And tell said friend to use a real program( or at least word )

Not all versions of Publisher can export as a PDF though which is why I asked what version of Publisher was used and I still don't know.

Very true, something like CutePDF (www.cutepdf.com) ( first one that comes to mind) should be able to convert to PDF, it puts in an option under the Print settings.

Note: Wheres all the MAC users hiding tonight ??? Suggestions / workarounds :p
