I have toyed with the idea of describing this morning's celebratory parachute jump followed by a spell of hang-gliding, this afternoon's wind-surfing & yachting & my preparations for an evening in the fleshpots of Castle Street. But I didn't want to make you all envious that you couldn't join in, amidst Dunedin's glorious Spring sunshine. Now that nofam has blown that weather description with his "raindrops" comment, maybe honesty is the best policy. My woodshed door was too damp for R2x1's carving suggestion, and the rot is setting in - not only in that, I fear, but in more personal hinges... (As for the 54 suggestion - where did the person from whom I borrowed/stole a pen from in Auckland last month get that from? I wish...) So I have to admit to a very quiet day - the sort that a kid would call a "non-birthday," but a pile of books delivered this morning has kept me very happy. Saving the big splash for one of those real celebration years - and would you know, the sun finally came out a few minutes ago... |
