Sorry LL just my attempt at humour has turned into a train wreck.
At risk of further digging myself deeper into a hole I was trying to make light of the prim and proper qualities of the girls from the college.
I will now leave humour to the experts and stick with the serious stuff.

I think the young people of today would wonder what the heck struck them if they could magically go back in time, as a child, to the early post WW2 years.

People in authority, such as Parents/Teachers/Police were next to God as far as most of us were concerned and were respected, not a bit like today.
