| 1110345 | 2010-06-14 23:24:00 | I have just installed a new HDD, to replace one that is reported as failing. I have partitioned the drive, and wish to keep email files on a different drive. C is programs, K is emails. Can it be done, and if so how? | Brucem (8688) | ||

Move the user documents to another drive moves most doc...except local settings which unfortunately hold the .ost files... You could create a .pst file and have that held on another partition and create a rule that moves all e-mail to the .pst file....but thats about all I can think of just now.... |

I have not done it on Outlook, but Outlook Express automatically copied all my storage across. Outlook will probably do the same. Alternatively, make the change above, send yourself one email & receive it, then drag and drop the storage from Documents & Settings to the new storage. |

| 1110348 | 2010-06-14 23:54:00 | In Outlook 2007 click tools > account settings > Change folder and create a new pst file on the K drive. | Sweep (90) | ||

| 1110350 | 2010-06-15 05:08:00 | Haven't done this for a while, I've switched to web mail. In the past I've copied my pst file to the new location, then opened the new copy from Outlook and then make that new file the default. It's all here: office.microsoft.com :) |
