1109636 2010-06-12 20:19:00 copy off your data to another hard drive partition or an external hard drive
reinstall Windows
reinstall your apps
copy your data back on
don't run newsid.exe on Windows 7 ever again

1109637 2010-06-13 02:04:00 Follow the advice given by nmercer-- newsid.exe doesn't work with W7. wainuitech (129)
1109638 2010-06-13 02:05:00 To get your data off that drive if you cant start windows either use a Linux (www.ubuntu.com/) live cd, Ubcd4win (http:) or similar or take that drive out of the case and fit it as a slave drive to another machine or in an external enclosure (www.pbtech.co.nz), and copy the files off; then do as post#2 (after you put the HDD back in ). feersumendjinn (64)
1109639 2010-06-13 06:33:00 Ok. Im going to reinstall my windows 7. I heard after reinstalling there is a window.old folder which is where all the previous Local Disk(C) data located.
And how do I merge it with new windows 7 installation. Any idea?
(I already backup all my windows data to another partition just in case it got lost during reinstallation.) :)
