| 1109491 | 2010-06-12 06:15:00 | I use XP, which I have recently reinstalled. Today I downloaded SP3, and now get a message during bootup, saying something like "Windows cannot start, the file Windows root\System 32\hal.dll is missing or corrupted". I can boot after restating and pressing F12, and selecting the appropriate HDD to boot from. How do I avoid this? | Brucem (8688) | ||
