It could be worse.

You could be installing Win 3 on 7 laptops.

Having installed the Beta / RTM on over 2 dozen machines now, I'm yet to run into any *major* issues, which you'd expect after 8-odd years in the making since WinXP ;)

Some laptops have a broken CD drive as well do they not?

I have two floppy drives but neither are usually in my two computurs on a regular basis.

Sometimes useful to flash a BIOS on older PCs though.

817167 2009-10-05 10:44:00 just finished reinstalling Win 7 Enterprise. i crashed my first install by getting the cisco vpn to run. so this time will just run it in virtual machine. xp mode doesnt run it as well.. :annoyed: maybe cos it a 64bit OS and cisco doesnt have a 64bit client i think.. ronyville (10611)
817168 2009-10-05 12:28:00 Well the first one was a toshiba satellite A200 and that is up and running fin now. Now issues AT all.

Installed 64bit on my HP Pavilion DV6 1204ax and I am posting off it now. Again no issues at all.

Now I am installing it on an old HP, (I dont even know the model lol)

Hi Chill, yes i have tried running it under XP Mode, it runs and connects when i enter my username and password. BUUUUUUT... it will not remote into any of the machines at work. So i did ipconfig and it wasnt even connected to the cisco router at work but the vpn client had the lock sign on meaning its connected... still trying to work this out. At the moment m just using a virutal xp pc for the vpn.
