| 1109438 | 2010-06-14 01:58:00 | Perhaps search within this forum for backups - their should be numerous threads. But ideally back up to a external drive, using free programs. Syncback (www.2brightsparks.com) (free version) and perhaps a free image program, e.g. DriveImage XML. (www.runtime.org) Perhaps later on get a more ideal backup software/solution. Again search within this forum for software/ideas, and how to do back ups - I have seen good info. I have written backup tutorials in my computer tech links blog (in my sig below) if you want to have a search/read. Or search online for tutorials related to the aforementioned software. |

| 1109440 | 2010-06-14 02:01:00 | Have you tried running a malware/spyware program? The free Spybot and malwarebytes or something? | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||
| 1109441 | 2010-06-14 02:08:00 | I remember when my nephew connected to a pay to view/stream video site in the USA, of which that company planted all sorts of scripts - which we could not easily remove, and slowed the PC. Many users had difficulty removing the scripts, and had to reinstall. I can't recall the company but I think they were taken to court. Have a look in control panel to see (or try recognize) any entries that may relate to internet video sites. |

| 1109443 | 2010-06-14 02:19:00 | these problems didnt start until i put internet on it though. and i defragmented my computer the other day. and ill try the ccleaner thing and im going to try to figure out how to get more memory like you said. is there a way to back up the things that i have on my computer so that i can reinstall it all if i wipe my computer clean? How much free hard drive space have you available? There may not be enough room for the page file which won't help. |
