816536 2009-10-08 06:02:00 Any Wellington users here? Thinking of switching my current Telescum plan to this also (40gb just goes to fast :() - and just hunting more 'local' opinions and thoughts :)

Telstraclear cable? But then again, you'll be paying for it. Their warpspeed seems okay, not that I can afford it (I'm on their 10 gig plan)

816537 2009-10-08 06:50:00 Then there's this (www.speedtest.net). to awesomely impress those who think Vodems are - - errrrrr - - Vodem-like.

The ping times would not even rate well in table tennis, the pong is pretty strong though.
Maybe if I charge the laptop batteries RIGHT up, get on a tall alp, and wait for a following wind?

(I think it may be the messages are conveyed in a forked stick by a land agent / car salesperson turned taxi driver if the 300 mi from North Shore to Auckland is any indication.)

816542 2009-10-08 09:57:00 I remember when my Xnet results used to dominate, too embarrased to post them now (both were less than 1mb at this time of night!) --Wolf-- (128)
816543 2009-10-08 10:16:00 Somebody must have taken their foot off the intertube, or taken a kink out, Xnet (www.speedtest.net) has kept up alright lately. R2x1 (4628)
816544 2009-10-08 10:24:00 I wish, not for me (www.speedtest.net) --Wolf-- (128)
816545 2009-10-08 10:43:00 Ouch! Of course, since I was using Linux, the data was more elegantly formed and thus able to glide smoothly down the tubes.

It is well known that to ensure a successful trip it is best not to start by going through the window ;)

I'm on Fusion BTW.
