816061 2009-10-16 07:08:00 It's a pathetic joke this one.

I was in town a few days ago.

Coming from Wakefeild, two turning lanes... And well, the left lane has no where to come out to... There are two massive bus lanes, enough to fit 4 cars by themselves, and a skinny little lane... Where the hell should you drive?

The driver in front of my braked hard after the lights and just stopped unsure where to go - don't blame him.
Why do you need two dedicated bus lanes there?
This makes it a nightmare for those who want to get on the motorway and those going straight towards Kyber Pass.
Surely two HUGE bus lanes are unfair for everyone else. It's just another sad little joke by the government.

And I guess I would get a fine for driving in the bus lanes?
They ruined a perfectly good road for nothing. I hope people who decided this get run over by a bus.
(Prefect wanna help?)

Nah he is enjoying his 2 huge private bus lanes

816062 2009-10-16 08:02:00 Ahh, fond memories of Grafton Bridge. It had character before they shrouded it in plastic to stop the throwing of crap (and jumpers) causing chaos in the traffic below. At 6.9 million it had better be used for more than just pedestrians!
Best year of my life was lived in Grafton (yeah, one year out of 40 something)

816063 2009-10-16 09:27:00 thanks man. i saw the "bus lane" text on the road, but are there any signs that say "bus lanes 7am-7pm" or "private vehicles 7pm-7am"?

816064 2009-10-16 11:38:00 There is/was a huge flashing sign that said "Bus Lane only 7am - 7pm" but not sure if its still there. beeswax34 (63)

We're aware. Unfortunately most people use the road between 7am and 7pm.
