Auckland Uni, done a while ago :p

Not how that translate into. When I was at Otago uni in my own room, senior flats, had uni LAN access. Download accelerator had a speed of 1,000kb/sec.

500MB in 30mins I recall.

816518 2009-10-04 07:40:00 It's the data cap, or lack thereof.Who the heck needs more than 10 M/bytes per month? Only leechers I suspect. Stuff them. I have a 10GB cap, but never exceeded 7 gigs, and am almost always using the Internet. Greg (193)

We're actually in danger of busting our 20GB cap at our current rate. Bear in mind there are four of us.

Bah! You're not doing it right. Last night I downloaded (from memory) about 15Gb, no P2P or anything like that, mostly just youtube, archive.org and dreamspark (dreamspark.com). All legit.

I usually go through around 11-12GB per month, no P2P, and trying to be conservative. A lot of that is VPN traffic, software updates, streaming audio, etc etc. These days it's insanely easy to gobble a whole lot of data without doing anything illegal.

Meh, we never actually get anything close to that unless downloading from MS or similar. That connection is shared between 40,000+ people...
