816041 2009-10-10 04:18:00 are there signs up by the bridge informing motorists of the opening hours?

Just an update, the bridge is open to private vehicles from 7pm to 7am. Be-warned: There are Auckland City Council staff monitoring the bridge from time to time.

816045 2009-10-10 08:41:00 I thought they had repaired the bridge, if the buses are going to start going "through" the bridge it will be really busted.

Much better to ensure they go across, or via the bridge. ;)
:p

Across :p

Yeah I didn't know it was bus-only, it's apparently signed, but we couldn't see the sign until we got stopped at the lights at the other and and the guy pointed it out. Turns out there was one of those mobile light signs, but it was blocked by a big-as truck.

The dude was like "Starting next week its a $150 instant fine, here's some info on use of the 'bus lanes' for you". I stare back blankly, gobsmacked ... seriously?!

But yeah its only between 7AM & 7PM that it's restricted. Quite retarded IMO!

The entrance from the Symmonds St end is now painted with the sign "Bus Lane" :)

816050 2009-10-11 09:35:00 The sign on the Hospital side is a joke. Its on the right side of the street with a pole blocking it. beeswax34 (63)
