This is what Belarc Advisor tells me:

MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD 8366-8233
Enclosure Type: Desktop

Board: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD MS-6390
Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Award Software International, Inc. 6.00 PG 10/28/2002

1109507 2010-06-12 08:31:00 I just downloaded the manual for the board and it says will take up to a Athlon 2600+ Sweep (90)
1109508 2010-06-12 08:33:00 Then you should be able to increase bus clock to 133MHz if you get a new CPU, the Duron is limited to 200MHz FSB Terry Porritt (14)
1109509 2010-06-12 08:35:00 There's a jumper on the board to do that. Sweep (90)
1109510 2010-06-12 08:57:00 My wifes computer had this motherboard, I just passed it on down the line, one of the grandsons will have it. It started life with a 900 Duron at 100MHz clock speed, and finished with an AMD 2100+. I have an XP 2400+, but it only ran as an XP2100+ due to FSB limitation.

I see on the MSI site there were three versions of this board. From what Chris said originally, it looks like version 1.

XP 2100+ upwards, are fairly cheap on TradeMe

1109511 2010-06-12 09:02:00 His Belarc output would tend to indicate a Version 1 board too. Sweep (90)
1109512 2010-06-12 09:05:00 Thanks folks - I'll let you know how I get on.

Max 266 Khz so 333 isn't going to work.

1109513 2010-06-12 09:17:00 There is a Jumper near the CMOS battery which will allow a 133 FSB. Sweep (90)
1109514 2010-06-12 09:56:00 Right, just to clarify in case of confusion, there is a x2 multiplier, so 100MHz clock gives 200 MHz FSB, 133MHz clock gives 266 MHz FSB and so on.

Athlon XP2100+ can run at 266MHz FSB max, whereas XP2400+ and XP2600+ can run at 333MHz FSB max if the board supports that speed.

1109515 2010-06-12 10:30:00 Got it wrong.....:) the XP2400+ has 266MHz FSB. I've got a XP2600+ (not a 2400+) which runs with a 333MHz FSB, but if put in a board with 266 MHz FSB then it showed up as an XP2100+. It's all a bit confusing :banana

Edit: all the Athlon XPs..... en.wikipedia.org
