1109656 2010-06-13 02:59:00 Not sure what to get. Have read all the posts on Modem/Routers and am confused.
I am on Telestra Cable using their Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem. I have a Linksys BEFSR41 Cable/DSL Router with two PC's attached and all is working perfectly.
I want to get a Wireless Router, but which one.? Or should I ditch the Motorola Modem and get a Wireless/Modem Router.

1109659 2010-06-13 04:25:00 I note that the Netcomm NB6PLUS4Wn ADSL2+ 11n is a recommended Router.
Looking at Ascent it comes up as Dynalink www.ascent.co.nz is it the same.?

1109660 2010-06-13 05:14:00 That's a router with a built in ADSL2 modem which you can't use with a cable broadband system. What you need is a wireless router without a modem so you can plug it into your motorola. I use an old dlink Dl 624 which works perfectly, I also live on the Kapiti Coast.
If you are in the market for a new router I would get one with a printer connection so you can share your printer among the systems that connect, I'm sure someone with more experience than me can recomend one

I didn't notice that. I am sharing my printer ok with my present cable router and would want to be able to continue doing that.

Really? wow...something I didn't know. Does cable BB have a totally different setup compared to the normal adsl setups we have? Sorry to hijack your post Pato.
