| 816851 | 2009-10-04 19:44:00 | A Winton lawyer suffered multiple injuries when he crashed his motorcycle returning from a rally near the Catlins at the weekend. ***** ******, 54, lost control on Chaslands Highway in the Catlins on Sunday afternoon and was flown to Southland Hospital. Mr ****** was understood to be returning from the Pissed Penguin motorcycle rally at Kaka Point at the time of the crash. Police said no other vehicles were involved. A Southland Hospital spokesperson said Mr ******* was in a satisfactory condition in a surgical ward. I'm off to see him at 2PM, he's still in hospital according to Hospital receptionist, allowed visitors. I'll let you know...... He does like his bikes - he came out to the Burt Munro races in Wyndham and called in here to leave all his gear...He'll probably miss it this year - it's next month. Catlins - hard to call ambulances out there in parts - no cellphone coverage. :horrified |
