| 1111392 | 2010-06-18 10:53:00 | Hey guys, just borrowed an external HDD from a friend of mine and I am having a bit of an issue with it. When it's connected to the computer it doesn't come up as external storage, instead it comes up as a different drive with the drive letter being D. I thought this wasn't too strange so I continued on, but when I tried to access the drive I got a pop-up telling me that the drive has not been formated and would I like to do so. Well no I wouldn't like to because there is a lot of information on there that I need to get off and it was working earlier in the day. So does anyone have any clues on fixing this? |

If you're using Vista or Win 7, download this (www.vistax64.com) file. Then follow the info on the site. It'll add the command to the context / right mouse button. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1111398 | 2010-06-18 11:08:00 | I'm running XP Home edition SP3. I don't think it is an ownership issue to be honest, when I check the properties it's telling me that a) the file system is RAW and b) that the total used and available storage are both 0 bytes |
