1111029 2010-06-17 12:34:00 i set up the media center extender through my xbox 360, no troubles there, it can play some of the videos there as well(wmv).

i've got a whole bunch of mp4 videos, when i try to play them, it says "file not recognized". cant media center play mp4??

I haven't played them on the pc in media center, I'll try that tomorrow

I'm trying to view them through the xbox media centre on the tv.

Xbox is connected via ethernet to the vista pc.

1111034 2010-06-17 13:14:00 Yup I dont think MC in Vista plays MP4, but Windows 7 MC does. Its just as bad as Vista, MC, it doesnt detect all or any new tuners, but Win7 MC does Speedy Gonzales (78)
