| 1110930 | 2010-06-17 03:18:00 | Do you mean remote access from the internet or from within the LAN ? If you want remote access to the server from someplace else, you have can make up a free account with MS that will allow you to log in, the user must have a more secure password which the options are set in the main console of WHS ( but this is only to the Shared Folders) to set it up, you log in Via the connector software on the top right / settings / remote access work through that. You do have to port forward through the router ports 443 & 4125 to allow access. To get to the desktop on the acer Hmmmmmmmmm To be honest I dont know, I set up mine with a monitor KB/Mouse connected then right clicked My Computer enabled remote Example (www.imagef1.net.nz), then on what ever computer I wanted to connect from opened the remote desktop Connection (www.imagef1.net.nz), as you can see logged in as administrator, using the admin password and it connected. All I can suggest is try a remote desktop connection, using the admin name / Password you made -- Hopefully the desktop is preset -- With no access to a monitor KB/Mouse thats going to be awkward other wise. |

I have enable remote access in system control panel of desktop, i presume the WHS server passes the request through the connector software....but the computer tab doesnt show on the WHS web page |
