1110509 2010-06-15 21:58:00 Where can I find a FREE registry cleaner? Not just one that scans for free and then asks to pay to clean!
Thanks

1110510 2010-06-15 22:01:00 Be Very careful using reg cleaners, many actually cause more damage than good.

One that works quite well, is incorporated in Ccleaner (www.piriform.com). as always make a restore point before removing anything.

1110511 2010-06-15 22:04:00 CCleaner has one (www.piriform.com), as does the portable version of Glary Utilities (www.glaryutilities.com) nofam (9009)
1110512 2010-06-15 23:01:00 I would be careful with Glary's one. I used it once, it must have deleted something for CCC. And it kept crashing CCC. I had to uninstall then reinstall the ATI drivers, to fix it Speedy Gonzales (78)

Indeed - I probably should've mentioned that they're not something you blindly run without verifying what it wants to delete. CCleaner is good, but not particularly thorough IMO - as the others have said, if you're new to these tools, just stick with CCleaner.
