1111474 2010-06-19 01:49:00 What would be the most effective combination of anti virus, malware, spyware protection?

Avast and ZoneAlarm has worked for me for many years in Windows XP, without having to reinstall Windows once in those years, hence I'm using them now.

Also I like them because they don't hog system resources like Norton does.

know their stuff.
Microsoft security essentials is a good free option
Malwarebytes and Spybot are good anti malware applications.
Running Highjackthis and posting the log on here so Speedy can take a look
is also a good idea.
