1111217 2010-06-18 01:59:00 Do you need to manually get the latest release ... why aren't they included in Windows update. Or is that only for security updates. Because if I go Custome it is not available either. KiwiTT_NZ (233)
1111218 2010-06-18 02:09:00 You have to get them manually. I think this is it (www.microsoft.com). Altho, these I think just update 9.0c. Depending on what version of Windows you've got, I think some updates for Vista enable DX 11. But, I dont think you can install DX 10 or 11 in Windows XP Speedy Gonzales (78)
1111219 2010-06-18 02:48:00 XP is only 9.0c.

1111221 2010-06-18 07:31:00 Why is this a problem?

Games that need later versions of DX typically come with an installer bundled.

The only FileHippo I know of is a site that has various downloads on it - see here (http://www.filehippo.com/). It's similar to MajorGeeks, BetaNews & the various other download sites.
You're better off getting DX updates from Microsoft.

1111225 2010-06-21 22:50:00 its probably the developer version of DirectX which is being updated. makes no difference for playing games etc. eg DirectX End-User Redistributable 9.29.1962 (June 2010) (majorgeeks.com) tweak'e (69)
