817926 2009-10-08 00:09:00 Has anyone tried this out? I am using it now on windows 7 and it is quite bad. xyz823 (13649)
817927 2009-10-08 00:16:00 Have you actually run through all the tutorials, and taught the PC to work how you speak ? How long have you been using it ?

you cant simply open it up and expect it to work correctly right away.

It takes a bit of time for the PC to learn how you pronounce words, and actually talk. You have to learn your self as to what voice commands to give. its not like talking to a person.

I know a person who used dragon naturally speaking for well over a month, every day and it still didn't do what she wanted, used the one in Vista for two days and works perfectly.

817928 2009-10-08 00:26:00 Yea I have been through all the tutorials, just takes awhile to gets used to I suppose. It just seems quicker to type at the moment because it does make a few mistakes when your are dictating. Especially with some words. I have to spell out "this" because it doesn't want to recognise it.

Oh and I have been using it on and off for the last few days.

817931 2009-10-08 01:07:00 When you first use it, it does warn you that it's optimised for UK speakers. ;)

EDIT: Tried saying Papakura and it moved to the beginning of the last word :stare:
